When Book Six came out, the manager of our local Barnes and Noble 'hired' Rose to pick out the winning raffle tickets for three prizes. The prizes, all Harry Potter related, were pretty cool. One was a gift basket full of Harry Potter stuff worth over 100.00 dollars.
In exchange for the laborious work of picking out three tickets, Rose got Book Six for free.
Well, the same thing happened this year. Rose and her friend Ariana both got a copy of Book Seven,
along with Harry Potter caps and access to anything from the cafe. The manager went out of his way to make them feel like valued employees of Barnes and Noble.
In celebration of the release of Book Seven, the festivities included face painting, a costume contest, several clowns entertaining....or scaring the younger kids and all sorts of other activities.
We got home at around 2 AM.
All for Harry Potter.
Now to read .
