tutorial: how to make a wall vase

super tacky glue or masking tape
newspaper or pages from a book
Mod Podge®
acrylic paints and basic painting supplies
hole punch

download and print the pattern

Paper Wall Vase pattern

cut out the shapes, trace it on chipboard... ( recycle a cereal box or similar packaging material )
and cut it out. Gently curve the sides of Pattern 1 so that it meets the sides of Pattern 2.

use super tacky glue to join the pieces together or you can also use masking tape

Let it dry.

add glue to another piece

adhere it to the bottom

let it dry and trim the excess

Collage paper on it. This will cover up the text and image on your chipboard,
and it will also make the vase sturdy and strong.

paint it any color you want.
After the first coat dries, I like to paint it in another color.
Then quickly wipe the paint off with a damp cloth or rag.

let it dry and punch a hole on the back

Paint it in any style you like, and use all kinds of cut outs to collage on some of the vases

to seal it,  you can use Mod Podge®,  gloss medium,  resin,
ultra thick embossing powder or Tim Holtz's crackle paint
